The number of fire extinguishers you need depends on several factors, such as the size and layout of your premises, the type and class of fire extinguishers As a general rule, It is highly encouraged to have at least one fire extinguisher for every 500 square feet of work area.
*Quick Tip: For a normal shop lot (usually between 1,000-1,500 square feet), the minimum requirement is 2 units of fire extinguishers (Dry Powder) .
If your fire extinguisher does not have any tag or sticker, you may need to service your fire extinguisher immediately to issue a Bomba license certificate (barcode sticker) for it.
Servicing of the fire extinguisher and renewing license certificate takes 3 - 6 working days. However, this may vary depending on the number of fire extinguishers you have.
